Gardens can be designed and built anytime of the year, however in winter the project can take a bit longer due to wet, cold and muddy conditions. Winter is a good time to get any maintenance jobs out of the way such as fencing, painting and building or fixing sheds in preparation for growing season. The best time for planting is In Autumn and Spring when the soil is still warm and there is plenty of rain. You can start your new garden in summer but will need to water regularly if you don’t have an irrigation system.

This is very dependent on weather, the size of the garden and how many different elements there are in the build. A drawing can take between 2-4 weeks depending on the size and complexity of the drawing, and an indication of timescale for the construction will be established during the costing process.

A drawing costs between £900-£1250+ vat. Once the design has been commissioned a 50% deposit is required to start the process and the final invoice with a 7-day payment term is presented at the time of the final drawing presentation.

Yes, we are happy to quote and build from your own design or another garden designers drawing.

We highly recommend using our garden maintenance service after the build. A new garden needs time to evolve so if we look after it, we can ensure that the plants and the space develop according to the original design and our vision for the garden.

Yes, the winter months can sometimes be the busiest because it’s during these months that we can have the time to develop and improve your garden. For example, we can help improve the soil by bringing in compost, or when the plants are dormant in winter is a good time to restructure flower beds or clear any areas that are overgrown.
